Hello everyone,
UB-SEDS has a number of activities planned for this summer. Many of our project groups will continue to be active. If you are in the Buffalo area this summer or wish to keep informed of summer events, we are setting up a listserv specifically for that purpose. To join this listserv, please send an email with “summer” in the subject line to

.
We are also forming a project group for the Nanosat competition.
The University Nanosat Program is a joint program between the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV), the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). It is a program in which university students design a small satellite to be entered into the competition. The university that is chosen will have the chance to build the satellite and have it launched into space. This program is held every other year.
This is an exciting program that presents a great opportunity to learn about satellite design, research and development, payload development, integration, and flight test.
More information about the Nanosat Program can be found on the official website:
http://www.vs.afrl.af.mil/UNP/index.html
We will be applying to this program in the fall; thus, a project group needs to be formed now to start work on this project. If you are interested in joining this project group or would like more information, please send an email to
