UB SEDS (Students for the Exploration and Development of Space) is very excited to host NECOS2010, the Northeastern Conference of Space. NECOS is an annual regional conference for the promotion of regional space focused activities. SEDS is an interdisciplinary student run organization which promotes the exploration and development of Space. NECOS is an effort to capitalize on the momentum of recent events to build cooperation and connections between regional Space-focused organizations to better understand the challenges facing today and tomorrow’s space community. This conference, through workshop, speaker and other events will to develop more cooperation and leadership among other space organizations and northeastern SEDS chapters, while developing and inspiring the space leaders for the next generation. The speaker and workshops will all be structured around delivering the message of the innovative and explorer spirit that we would like members of the Space community to share. The workshops will also Challenge our members to dream the impossible and pushes the limits for human space exploration.
NECOS is the 2nd annual conference of the Northeast chapters of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space. The Northeast region encompases the States of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.
