UB-SEDS is a student group that promotes the exploration and development of space. We advance these goals by sharing with the public the benefits of space exploration, fostering a network of interested students, and generating interest through space-related projects. We seek to educate about space.

UB-SEDS has experience in bringing educational tools to students and youth through our Educational Outreach project group. We have volunteered doing activities at the local Buffalo Museum of Science on a Bi-weekly basis during the school year, doing demonstrations and educational activities with museum attendees. Our Astronomy Group also frequently does demonstrations around the University at Buffalo campus, allowing members of the community to view a small sliver of amazing things that are visible with our current amateur equipment.
